About Tare
Tare Bistro is an intimate space where the dining experience is centred around seasonality, excellent cooking and a thoughtfully designed wine and drinks list.
A stone's throw away in Unit 14 is Tare Bar, our exciting new venture bringing the same passion and attention to detail to a bar and kitchen concept. Expect innovative mixed drinks and classics, alongside a great winelist and the very best locally sourced beers and cider. Our food menu offers an exciting selection of small plates to enjoy alongside your drinks.
Our Story
Chef / owner Matt Hampshire opened Tare Restaurant at Wapping Wharf in 2017. The original restaurant served a set tasting menu and wine flight exclusively, whilst maintaining a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Fast forward to 2024 and the team have combined the original tasting menu concept with a sharing plates option at Tare Bistro.
This year has also seen the launch of Tare Bar, situated in the heart of Wapping Wharf. Serving a large drinks selection and an exciting small plates menu, it is the perfect spot for a pre / post dinner drink or a more substantial meal, chosen from our various plates on offer.
Drawing on a wealth of experience working at some of the best restaurants in Bristol and beyond, our team strive to deliver the best experience for our guests.
